For over 45 years, CHL has been providing process and material handling solutions to a wide variety of industries. In 1957, founder Clayton H. Landis opened a small shop providing light manufacturing, installation and repair services. As needs of local area industry started to change, CHL began to include design engineering and manufacturing of automated process equipment and material handling systems.

In 1971, the first building expansion was completed, adding three large bays to the existing shop. Since that time, CHL has expanded its facilities with numerous building additions in various locations. In 1995, an assembly and testing facility was added and construction is underway to enlarge that facility by 30,000 square feet.

As the facilities grew, so did CHL’s team of employees. From technicians, machinists and certified welders to project managers, design engineers and licensed PE’s, CHL has grown to over 175 employees. Together, this group brings years of experience in providing design and manufacturing solutions to a wide variety of industries nationwide and internationally.

While CHL has experienced strong and steady growth since it’s beginnings, it has remained a family owned and operated corporation. Our first priority continues to be providing top quality products and services. Our number one goal is our customer's satisfaction.
